Your Outlook inbox is refreshed automatically after every 30 minutes by default. However, if you want, you can change this setting to an even lesser time i.e. 5 to 10 minutes. This way your inbox will be refreshed every 5 minutes and you’ll be receiving your emails as soon as you get them. To know how to update the Auto refresh inbox mail Outlook settings, follow the steps below:
Launch Outlook on your PC and select the Send Receive button.
Now select Send/Receive Groups drop-down menu and click on Define Send/Receive Groups.
Now select the Schedule Automatic Send/Receive every option under All Accounts.
Change the settings from 30 minutes to 5 minutes or 10 whatever you prefer.
Once done, close the Dialog box.
That’s all. Your Outlook inbox will now be updated every 5 minutes. Although you can set your inbox to refresh automatically even in less than 5 minutes, we suggest you avoid it as it can lead to double entries of mail in your inbox.
