Communications Week® Comes To Canada & Cannabis Is A Big Part Of The Discussion!

This year marks the fifth anniversary of Communications Week and also the inaugural event of Communications Week in Canada, starting in Toronto. Founded in 2014 by New York-based PR agency KITE HILL, Communications Week is the first industry week of its kind and takes place every October. The event serves as a cross-industry celebration dedicated to serving those in, and interested in, the public relations, communications and media industries.

This year’s theme is “The Workforce of the Future.”

From engaging keynotes to lively panel discussions, Communications Week in Canada will bring together the perspectives of media, brand and agency professionals for a comprehensive view of communications as a whole. An inspirational, informational, and social event focused on the PR, communications and media industries.

For New York's fifth anniversary as well as the inauguration of Communications Week in Canada, we’ll be tackling issues today that will impact professionals of tomorrow. Under our 2018 theme, Communications Week will cover key trends shaping the workforce of the future. From the importance of creating a more diverse workforce and shaping future female leaders, to understanding how today’s workplace needs to change to attract Gen Z talent, we’ll look at how the very definition of work is changing.

Why Toronto?

From the city's bid to welcome Amazon's second office to the startups as well as major players calling the 6ix home, Toronto is rapidly establishing itself as a tech hub along the likes of New York. As this shift happens, we'll take a look at the role of communications in the workforce of the future. Who will be attending? Communications Week in Canada will engage those in, as well as interested in, the field of communications. Individuals and companies in PR, digital communications, marketing, event planning and media production industries will be present. From founders & CEOs to students, everyone is welcome to attend to discuss the implications of "The Workforce of the Future."
