BOAZ Honours Human Potential with Handcrafted Art Installation at HempFest Edmonton
BOAZ Pharmaceuticals Inc. (BOAZ) received its license for cultivation in June 2018, and the company is now gearing up for Phase II of expansion as it is in the final stages of obtaining its Sales License. A labour of love is one way to describe the exigent process BOAZ has endured as the independent Licensed Producer (LP) continues to scale.
“It’s a unique skill set to be able to put the right structures, systems, processes, and schedules into place while building and motivating a new team to advance a complex regulatory-driven project on a very tight timeline,” explains David Isaak, President, and CEO of BOAZ.
BOAZ is known for having earned its LP status in only 10 months without external consultancy, under the Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations (ACMPR): the fastest processing time of any facility across Canada. This achievement required great focus and commitment from the entire BOAZ team, and so it comes as no surprise that every detail in the producer’s refreshed identity system received the same passionate care and attention that was summoned to earn its LP status.
From a new website to a refreshed logo, BOAZ wanted to honour the sheer perseverance of human potential and pay tribute to the craft process. To highlight its intention, BOAZ also tapped into the creative talents of Calgary-based artist, Carl White, to handcraft a unique piece that fans can truly appreciate and relate to.
“The project has been nurtured and hand built from the ground up. Every leaf was hand carved. I’m proud that we are matching the vision of BOAZ through this,” says Carl White, Artist. The cannabis-themed art installation took approximately 100 hours to craft from concept to execution. It pays homage to the meticulous care that BOAZ puts into handcrafting its medical cannabis products.
The handcrafted art installation was on display at the upcoming HempFest Cannabis Expo in Edmonton, Alberta recently. In addition to admiring another example of fine Alberta craftsmanship, guests were able to talk with team members and interact with the display.

BOAZ Pharmaceuticals Inc. is a privately-owned, Licensed Producer of cannabis. Based in Calgary, Alberta, BOAZ received its official license for cultivation from Health Canada on June 22, 2018.
